Each magic cloak is so powerful, it is a direct manifestation of the future we want to live. My handwoven, handsewn cloaks are a testament to the beneficial qualities of regenerative farming. My wool is sourced from local grazers, whose browsing provides wildfire fuel load reduction to my home community while increasing mycorrhizae for healthy soils. In this triply world-healing action, their grazing converts CO2, sequestered from the atmosphere by the annual growth of plants, into a locked carbon form: wool! Not only does this drawdown GHGs, but it directly reduces the chances of intense release of carbon from devastating wildfire, all while protecting my neighborhood! Meanwhile, the action of hooves and manure on neglected grasslands that once supported legions of large ruminants increases soil health by encouraging mycorrhizae and other beneficials to flourish underground, creating the conditions for even more carbon sequestration in the soil. Knowing all these good things, I lovingly tend the fleece, spin the yarn, wind my warp and weave my weft according to the ancient magical practices of my Norse, Germanic, and Celtic ancestors. Into each fiber I set intentions for the rebirth of a way of life that honors the interconnectedness of all beings.
